About meI'm a lawyer.
About my libraryAug 27, 2009. Finally getting around to sorting books into collections:
My Library: Books I own, that are presently on my shelves, whether I've read them or not.
Read but unowned: Books I don't own, but remember reading, and would consider buying if money were no object.
Wishlist: Books I haven't read that I would like to buy.
Books I've Lent to Others: Books I own but that are not presently on my shelf because they've been lent out. They may not be coming back.
Currently Reading: Pretty self-explanatory, though I'm probably not the best at keeping this updated.
Read - [YEAR]: Books I read in [YEAR]. I'm keeping track because I have no idea how many books I read.
Reviewed: The subset of My Library containing books that I've reviewed on LibraryThing.

I'll try to keep the character alignments in mind as I read; maybe I could read one after the other so as to keep them separate. Reading multiple books at the same time is difficult.. somehow I always end up doing it though!
Have you read anything interesting as of late?

In a different world I'd try to read linguistics or philology or something so that I'd actually know what I talk about. Otherwise, I'm operating on some very basic - but thorough - education. Meanwhile, it is interesting, isn't it?

I am always pleasantly surprised to find somebody that I "know" online here when I am. I won't pester you ---- just wanted to speak in almost-real time.

Is it OK to ask: where does your screen name come from?
The first thing I htought of was Homerʻs [Odyssey] Book I, line 1: "Andra moi ennepe, Mousa, [polutropon] os mala pollon / plankhthe...." (Muse, tell me of the man [of many devices] who, indeed, wandered much....
